Critical infrastructure
In April 2022 the "Road Project" began. Personnel from the area were hired and management (engineering and supervision) was carried out by a technical team experienced in highways. The work consisted of the construction of a 12.5 km long road with a 5m width to connect the national highway in the town of Alborada de Los Andes with our camp and cruise in La Onza, located in the town of Óngon.
Crucial project
This project was very important and fundamental to provide transit of personnel, materials, heavy equipment and mining production in order to satisfy the current and future traffic requirements of the La Onza mining operation.
Effort and perseverance
Key values
Effort and perseverance were key values that allowed us to achieve the proposed goal. Never give up on the difficulties that appear along the way, never lose your will and hope. Setbacks and/or frustrations taught us to be patient and look for solutions to overcome various obstacles.
An important step
In May 2024, after overcoming problems that delayed the work, the "Road Project" reached its goal, reaching the operational camp and mine mouth of the cruise ship located in the Red Cross concession of Compañía Minera La Onza.
